2023 The Animal Pad Raised: $60,000 The Animal Pad is a non-profit, all breed dog rescue that focuses on saving dogs from high kill shelters and the streets of Mexico. We get them vet care, place them in foster homes and then find them loving forever families. Our mission is to form a safe space for dogs experiencing crisis and neglect, and to build a community of compassion through education, rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption. Our community of volunteers and fosters strives to ensure that all dogs get a fighting chance, and believes that no case is too extreme to be helped, meaning our rescue is full of perfectly imperfect dogs who can’t wait to meet you. https://theanimalpad.org

2022 Active Valor Raised: $10,000 Active Valor is a combat veteran run non-profit organization in San Diego, CA dedicated to giving new purpose to veterans by pairing them as mentors to children of our nation's fallen heroes, referred to as Gold Star Children. The organization not only supports Gold Star Children but also invites Gold Star Spouses to join events for their own time of relaxing, fellowship and community-building. Be sure to visit Active Valor’s booth during the tourney for an opportunity to meet some of our Gold Star Families and learn more about how to support such an amazing and local San Diego organization. https://activevalor.com
2024 Shelter to Soldier Raised: $36,600 Shelter to Soldier™ is a CA 501c3 nonprofit organization that adopts dogs from local shelters and rescue organizations and trains them to become psychiatric service dogs for post-9/11 veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress (PTS), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and/or Military Sexual Trauma (MST). Every day, 17 US veterans and 1 active duty service member are lost to suicide. That’s an average of one life lost every 69 minutes. The suicide rate among the nation’s military personnel has spiked this year, eclipsing the number of troops dying in battle and on pace to set a record annual high since the start of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan more than a decade ago. PTSD is a major problem for our men and women in uniform, and its effects last far and beyond the battlefield. Every year, our nation sees approximately 6.3 million animals enter shelters. More than half of those animals are dogs, at 3.1 million every year. This year alone, 1.2 million dogs will be euthanized due to space, behavioral problems, or medical complications. Many great dogs are often overlooked at shelters for behavior issues such as protest when left alone, different levels of classic separation anxiety, unruly (non-aggressive) behaviors, barking, poor house manners, and housebreaking issues. Our team of professional dog trainers are experts in behavior modification, and in most cases, are able to modify unwanted behaviors and continue to train the dogs at the elite level of service work needed for their new job. https://www.sheltertosoldier.org
2021 SD Brain Tumor Foundation Raised: $4,500 The San Diego Brain Tumor Foundation (SDBTF) is a local grassroots non-profit 501C3 dedicated to patients and families by providing essential resources and support. Established in 2002 by Connie Reeves Campbell, who lost her husband Dennis to a brain tumor in 2000. The Foundation is proud to be a source of comfort and hope to the local community. The San Diego Brain Tumor Foundation serves the local community by providing funds to patients and their families who are coping with the daily stresses and difficulties of a brain tumor diagnosis. Through generous donations and our fundraising efforts, we can provide a variety of essential services to the brain tumor community. https://www.sdbtf.org
